I believe that in the animation community, animation camera is the more common term (it sure is where I work, at the National Film Board of Canada). Maybe rostrum camera is more used outside the animation community...? Shawn in Montreal 16:29, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Proposed merging with animation stand

They'e different. You use an animation camera without the stand when you shoot stop motion, such as puppet or clay animation. --Janke | Talk 13:26, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
