Not enough

[edit]

He has done so much but this article ignores many details from his life. When was he born? When did he migrate to Australia and become an Australian citizen? Does he have a family? Where is his photograph? Wikipedia usually gives us more information. Please improve. 49.190.240.218 (talk) 03:31, 22 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposed edits

[edit]

Hello,

My name is Melissa, I am an employee at LeapFrog Investments and wanted to post here to suggest some updates to the article to improve its accuracy and clarity as well as bring it up to date.

I’m aware of Wikipedia’s guidelines on conflicts of interest and am therefore suggesting changes here for review.

As you will see below I am proposing a number of small updates as opposed to sweeping changes. I have provided sources where required and sought to use a neutral tone of voice.

Please see below – thank you!

Not done for now: Multiple reasons -
  • This article, as you may already know, must adhere to WP:BLP. We require inline citations after every claim made in the article.
  • I'd want to see newly added claims sourced by secondary sources, so that I clearly know it is worth being included in the article. We don't really include absolutely everything the subject does.
  • Sen described Kuper as “a remarkable product of intellectual engagement on some of the most difficult problems that the world faces today”. Well, the person did say this, but this feels like it still pushes a promotional POV.
  • I'd like to suggest changing "now" to "as of 2025" or something, because things become outdated and vague wording can risk falsely presenting outdated information as a up-to-date information. Even if you intend to come back later for an update, I want to see this changed. AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/report any mistakes here) 10:47, 20 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thank you AlphaBetaGamma, your feedback has been very helpful.

I have taken this onboard and prepared the below. As you see, I have focused only on those changes which can be substantiated with high quality sources and added these as in-line citations.

I have also updated the wording around key figures to avoid it going out of date quickly. Finally, all noted on promotional content, I have sought to avoid anything that could contravene this guideline.

I’d be very appreciative if you are able to make these changes once you are happy.

Thank you!

@Fininc Partly done I have added most of that other than a couple of bits I felt were a little too promotional in wording. qcne (talk) 09:45, 21 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, I really appreciate your help. I accept your feedback on the language proposed in updating the career section. To keep the article up to date and accurate, please could you update the unsourced figures currently included so that the line reads:
As of 2025, the companies in which the firm has invested have had an annual growth rate of more than 22% and reach 559 million people.
This language is the same as to what is currently there. A source for these figures is here: https://onimpact.com.au/profit-with-purpose-scaling-businesses/
Thank you again! Fininc (talk) 23:41, 21 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi @AlphaBetaGamma , you were so helpful with the earlier request, I wonder whether you might be able to review another small update to the opening paragraph of this page.
Current text: Andrew Kuper AO is a South African-Australian entrepreneur and investor. Kuper is the founder and CEO of LeapFrog Investments, a specialist investor in financial services and healthcare in global markets.
Proposed text: Andrew Kuper AO is a South African-Australian entrepreneur and investor. Kuper is the founder and CEO of LeapFrog Investments, a specialist investor in financial services, healthcare and climate solutions in global markets.
Reason for change: The existing inline citation (ref. 4) already substantiates LeapFrog’s climate investing activity. This change would reflect that sourcing in the lead and improve alignment between the opening summary and the cited content below.
Many thanks for considering, and no problem at all if you feel it’s not appropriate. Fininc (talk) 06:21, 15 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Mustbeotherwise you helped me with an edit on another page - i wonder whether you can assist here with a small change as above? Thank you in advance! Fininc (talk) 03:26, 11 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
