2017 amendment

The 2017 amendment to the federal rules of evidence changed the requirement from 20 years old, to being a document prepared before January 1, 1998. There were also changes to what’s required for a self-authenticating document, though, which have an effect on the admissibility of electronically stored information, that may also need to be included.
