[edit]What command fo you use to use a trace route on an alpha system to another host.
It seems AlphaServer 200 did not exist. Is the AS 400 Mustang or rather Chinet/Avanti? Also there seem to be 2 memory options for AS 400 4/166: up to 192 and up to 384. —Preceding unsigned comment added by GL1zdA (talk • contribs) 16:47, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
No, the AlphaServer 200 does exist, as evidenced by this old post at a newsgroup by Digital's PR: . As for the AlphaServer 400 4/166, they were based on the AlphaStation 400 4/166, which does support 384 MB of memory with larger SIMMs. Rilak (talk) 06:54, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
But at least here is written it supports only 192 MB, but a year later it's 384 MB. Is it because the mainboard changed, or simply Digital didn't want to sell systems with larger memory? --GL1zdA (talk) 09:14, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
- Most likely the capacity of the memory modules had increased. One thing I've noticed about Digital was they had a habit of specifying the minimum and maximum memory capacities based on the capacity of the memory modules available at that time, not what the systems actually support. - References for the codename for the AlphaServer 400 differ; this list has it as "Mustang S", but this message asserts that it shared the Avanti/Chinet codename with the AlphaStation 400. Letdorf (talk) 09:51, 30 September 2008 (UTC).
Central Office AlphaServers
[edit]There is another line of AlphaServer - NEBS Level 3-certified models for use in Central Offices. So far, I have confirmed the AlphaServer 4100CO, DS10CO and the AlphaServer TS Series, which includes the TS20 and TS40. The line actually goes a bit further, with HP selling two more models before Alpha was discontinued, the TS10L and TS15? Does anyone have any info to share? Rilak (talk) 06:55, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Wildfire introduction date questioned

- Yes, that appears to be incorrect, the GS320 seems to have been announced shortly before September 2000 and the GS80 at the beginning of November 2000 . Letdorf (talk) 09:31, 11 August 2012 (UTC).
