Disclosure: I have a COI (I co-authored the 6th edition of Designing Brand Identity), so I'm suggesting these rather than editing directly. Thanks to everyone who built this out.
- Authorship. The lead calls Wheeler a "co-author" of Designing Brand Identity (2003). She was the sole author of that book through its first five editions (2003–2018); a co-author (Rob Meyerson) was added only for the sixth edition (2024). Brand Atlas (2011) was co-authored with Joel Katz. Suggested lead: "…was an American graphic designer and author. She wrote Designing Brand Identity (2003), a branding guide later expanded across six editions, and co-authored Brand Atlas: Branding Intelligence Made Visible (2011) with Joel Katz."
- First-edition subtitle. The body reads "In 2003, she released … A Comprehensive Guide to the World of Brands and Branding." That subtitle belongs to the 2024 sixth edition. The 2003 first edition was subtitled "A Complete Guide to Creating, Building, and Maintaining Strong Brands" (as in the Casey/JAMS and Design Issues citations already used here). Please correct the 2003 mention.
- Two more independent reviews for "Critical reception":
- Govoni, N. A. Review of Designing Brand Identity (4th ed.). Choice, vol. 50, no. 9 (May 2013), review 50-5098, p. 1676. (American Library Association's review journal.)
- Biošić, Ivan. Review of Designing Brand Identity. Communication Management Review, vol. 3, no. 2 (2018), pp. 115–117. (DOAJ-indexed, peer-reviewed.)
- Reference author name. Reference 5 (JAMS) lists the author as "Clayton, Russell C." The review is bylined Russell Casey (Clayton State University); the surname is Casey. Suggest correcting to "Casey, Russell."
- Surname consistency. Alina's name appears as "Radziejowski" in the lead but "Radziejowska" for her mother. (Polish surnames are gendered, feminine -ska / masculine -ski, which explains the mother's form.) In the sources I've seen, Alina's maiden name is spelled "Radziejowski." Could an editor make her name consistent throughout, per whatever the reliable sources support?
Minor/optional: per WP:TIES, American English is usual for an American subject; the article currently mixes British ("honours," "organisation") with American ("honor"). Happy to provide sources or PDFs for the Choice and Biošić citations listed above. RobMeyerson (talk) 19:06, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
