—David Eppstein wondered this. I believe Bucur was born in Romania. She got her undegraduate degree from University of Bucharest, Romania, in 2001. I wasn't sure whether or not to say she is an American mathematician. Perhaps it's more accurate to say she is a Romanian born American mathematician. Advice?
