Inviting reviews and suggestions

[edit]

This article was the first attempt by a new editor to create a new one. I really like the selection of the subject. Help in expanding this article and suggestions for subheadings would be most appreciated. Thanks. TMorata (talk) 14:26, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Lead

[edit]
  • Lead looks good. Just remove the reference on her birthday and make the lead all one paragraph since it is short.

Early life and education

[edit]
  • Add her birthday on here and use the ref from the lead for here instead
  • "She graduated from the Ohio State University in 2015 with degrees in theater and environmental science.[4][1]" Please swap the refs at the end.

Social media

[edit]
  • "Her popularity grew in 2021, from under 500,000 TikTok followers early that year to 3.3 million by January 2022." - "Nelson's social media following expanded significantly in 2021, growing from fewer than 500,000 TikTok followers early in that year to 3.3 millions followers by January 2022."
  • "Her efforts were successful enough that she left her job as a social media manager in September 2021 to focus on her foraging work full-time." - "By September 2021, she had resigned from her role as a social media manager to focus full-time on foraging content."
  • "National media attention that year included New York Times and Bon Appétit articles, as well as segments on The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Drew Barrymore Show. She was also added to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list that year." - "Throughout 2021, she received national media attention from outlets that included The New York Times and Bon Appétit, alongside guest appearances on The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Drew Barrymore Show. She was also included to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list that year."
  • "In December 2023, an episode of Eat This with Yara featuring Nelson titled "The Awful Truth About ‘No Trespassing’ Signs" won the Outstanding Lifestyle Program award at the 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards." - "In December 2023, an episode of Eat This with Yara featuring Nelson titled "The Awful Truth About 'No Trespassing' Signs" won the Outstanding Lifestyle Program award at the 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards."

Personal life

[edit]
  • Can you merge this with the early life and education section? This part is only two sentences.

  • Passed GA recently enough Green tickY, long enough Green tickY, hook and article are reliably sourced. I can't really tell if a spotcheck for text-source integrity and copyvio took place at GA (Carnival of Lights?), but a brief look doesn't turn up anything Green tickY. Hook is short enough and interesting, though I'm sure some won't be happy (someone has to be the first to win in a category afterall). Maybe a gloss that the James Beard Award is for food would make the interest of social media more apparent? Green tickY QPQ done Green tickY. Approving -
