What does "He encouraged the cities" mean? Encouraged the economic growth or development of cities? Encouraged the power of residents of cities, or of city governments? I'll re-word it if I can figure out what it's supposed to refer to. Thanks! Laura1822 17:04, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Uh, what does "founder of the great house" mean. He certainly didn't found the Hapsburgs, which had been nobles for the previous two centuries. Isaac Rabinovitch (talk) 21:24, 20 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
