However, I would like to recommend it on its merits, and hope that an editor will find the time to examine the review and—if he or she sees fit—post it to the professional reviews section. About being 18-19
[edit]Did Marling say the album is about being 18-19? She made the album at 17. Is it maybe about being 16-17? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.78.93.204 (talk • contribs) 16.16, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
Title song
[edit]Does anyone know the background to the title song? Is it based on something else? I'm asking because the line "there's a boy across the river with black curly hair.. but alas I cannot swim" (viz) isn't a million miles away from a line in an Afghani song, the Zakhmi Dil, which has "There's a girl across the river, And her cheeks are like a peach, But, alas ! I cannot swim" (though there are various other translations, some more ribald than others, as discussed here). And why was it hidden? Swanny18 (talk) 22:23, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
