"The world’s first ultra-realistic humanoid robot artist"
[edit]There have been multiple edits made over the lifetime of this page to put this catchphrase at the very beginning of the first sentence of the page, removing "(...) is described by its creator as" or any other introduction. The phrase is used heavily in Ai-Da promotional material, including their official website. While this does describe what Ai-Da is, I think a more generic lead-in sentence like in this older version of the article better introduces the topic (and also isn't copied straight from Ai-Da ad copy). - This was added back to the article as a Guardian quote, but I think the journalist is just echoing the creator. The Guardian article introduces Meller as

. - I'm not sure what earlier artist robot example they're trying to distinguish it from by adding ultra-realistic (Maillardet's automaton? Jaquet-Droz automata? Norman White's Menage?), but it seems rather arbitrary. Promotional content
[edit]Several edits were made by User:Viytc471, who I blocked for promotional editing. Their edit summaries give me an LLM vibe as well. The current version may need to be checked for neutrality and factuality (I see somebody already tagged it). ASUKITE 15:59, 23 September 2026 (UTC)
I've also now tagged the article for COI issues; Viytc471 didn't respond to the COI concerns raised on their talk page. They had added some promotional language to this article, removed details about some of the robot's work being human-assisted (, ) and described several of the photos of the robot that they uploaded as having been taken personally.
