[edit]

Disclosure: I am a member of Agathe Sorel's family and therefore have a conflict of interest, so I am requesting these changes rather than making them myself. All proposed content is supported by independent published sources.

Agathe Sorel died in London on 30 July 2020, but the article still describes her as living. I request the following changes:

1. Short description – change to: {{short description|Hungarian-born printmaker and sculptor (1935–2020)}}

2. Opening paragraph – replace the first two sentences with:

Agathe Sorel (13 May 1935 – 30 July 2020) was a London-based artist of Hungarian descent, specializing in painting, sculpture, printmaking and livres d'artiste.[1] She was a Member of the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, as well as a founding member of the Printmakers Council and its Chairman in 1981–1983.

and extend the final lead sentence to: "She was one of the first artists who experimented with making objects and sculptures using print techniques, notably her engraved Perspex 'Space Engravings'.[2]" (keeping the existing citations).

3. Life – change "born in 1935 in Budapest" to "born on 13 May 1935 in Budapest".[1]

4. Career – after the sentence on teaching at Camberwell and Maidstone, add: "She also taught at Goldsmiths College and in Canterbury."[2]

5. New section "Death" (before "Exhibitions"): "Sorel died in London on 30 July 2020, aged 85."[1][2]

6. Categories – remove [[Category:Living people]]; add [[Category:2020 deaths]].
