Inappropriate to put the teams withdrawal in the opening paragraph

Edelman is noteworthy for being the first Israeli to compete in the Olympics in two different sports. He is the first Israeli to compete in three distinct disciplines. Usually top of page bio notes should be reserved for what the athlete or person in question is known for. In this case it seems highly prejudicial and completely inappropriate to put his teams withdrawal from one of his disciplines as top of line as opposed to putting it with his bobsled accolades. I think the neutral way to do this would be either to summarize all of his Olympic activities or none of them—i.e., say briefly what he did and how he placed in the 2022 Olympics and the 2026 Olympics, or otherwise just say (as it is now) that he competed in them without elaboration. i noted as well his noteworthy role as first of his community in the Olympics.

In terms of placement, I just don't understand noting "last of finishers" in a sport where not only are crashes routine, the speed of the Israeli sled matched that of Friedrich and no sleds had crashed on run 1 where he was still situated ahead of FRA and TTO. We'd use a reliable secondary source (like the NYT) over a primary source. With that said, Edelman's sled was in last place among the sleds that completed both runs after the second run, with the slowest combined time. Anyway, as I said, let's just leave it as it is. Latest revision seems ridiculous

don't know what to even say about the latest revision. It's factually incorrect. Prejudicial. I think the language can change to mentioning that the RTS broadcaster and the Italian broadcasters had controversy in coverage of the Israeli Bobsled team. Olyfan2426 (talk) 03:28, 25 March 2026 (UTC)

There were multiple problems here, including: saying very nearly in Wikivoice that the article subject supports genocide; not providing an inline citation that precisely sources the excerpted commentary; and wholesale insertion of verbatim material from a source rather than crafting original article text. This incident got significant media coverage and probably should be in the article, but it has to be well-sourced, of appropriate length relative to the rest of the article, and carefully worded to adhere to WP:BLP policies.
