I sympathize. This whole article is sketchy and stubby. The comments on cumulative abnormal return towards the end look at most only half right. You can see this from a simple bit of algebra, if you take compounding into account.

Actual abnormal return will not match so-called cumulative abnormal return, as defined here. That's my point.
