a success story

I was first enrolled in the AVID program in the seventh grade and when I started I was my own worst enemy. I had detetion about twice a week for being late to my classes and I was failing everything. After my first year of AVID, I was not getting detention and I had all A's and B's! AVID truly helped me turn myself around. The AVID teachers play a huge role though! It is true that they motivate you to do YOUR best, however, they give you the extra push! I owe everything to Mrs. Moore. She was my middle school AVID teacher and she made me stay in AVID and get the job done. She helped me so much and I thank her for those two years of class.
