[edit]The sentence "These enzymes use the same substrates as long-chain acyl-CoA synthetases" is misleading in my opinion. These enzymes catalyze the reverse reaction of acyl-CoA synthetases, and therefore the products of these enzymes correspond to the others' substrates.
A proposed reformulation of the sentence may be "These enzymes produce fatty acids and CoA that may once again become substrates of acyl-CoA synthetases". 93.70.93.137 (talk) 21:37, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
