The standard format for the several hundred historic "[year] in science" articles is to subdivide by subject. Why try to reorganise 1953 into a single (chronological) sequence? Camboxer (talk) 16:27, 12 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Apologies, I've only really edited the more recent years in science (2007 through 2012), which divide by month rather than subject, as they have far too many entries to easily sort into thematic sections.
