Assignment
[edit]No citation is given for the wing's assignment. Based on the assignment of other bombardment training wings of Second Air Force, it seems likely that the wing was assigned to II Bomber Command from 15 May 1943 until the command was disbanded in October 1943.
Spot checking the first two groups mentioned during the wing's operational training, the 91st Bombardment Group and 303d Bombardment Group, both are shown as assigned to II Bomber Command during the period mentioned, without any attachment to the wing.
Once B-29 units deployed to the Pacific in the spring of 1945, the wing could not have been responsible for operational training, but may have become a replacement training headquarters. Lineagegeek (talk) 21:29, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
