Strangers Only is the second studio album by American heavy metal band My Ticket Home. It was released on September 3, 2013, through Rise Records. The album's musical style is a drastic departure from the post-hardcore and metalcore sound of the band's previous releases, instead showcasing a nu metal sound with only some elements of metalcore. It was the band's final album with Rise Records, after the band left the label and would later sign with Spinefarm Records.
The album was influenced by hardcore punk, Underoath, Nirvana,[4] Rage Against the Machine, Snot, Korn, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Deftones and System of a Down.[5]

"Spit not Chewed" was the very first thing that we wrote and then the next thing was some super ambient Underoath influence type thing and then there was like some that were a little bit punky and more wannabe a hardcore band style... for me personally would have been uh Slipnot, Nirvana, and Limp Biscuit were like the main ones that I was listening to

writing the record, at the time I would say I was listening to a lot of Bizkit, Slipknot, Snot, my fav is Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park too I've loved Linkin Park since like Middle School though, System of a Down too
