Said-Muhmat Amaev (born 30 August 1960) is a Moldovan politician, who served as a Member of the Moldovan Parliament.[4]
Early life and professional career
[edit]Said-Muhmat Amaev, a Chechen weightlifter,[5] moved to Soviet Moldova in 1982, first in Chișinău, then in Bălți, where he started a family.[6][7] He then studied law at the Modern University for the Humanities in Moscow, Russia.[1] Since 2000 he is a sports teacher at the Specialized Sports School „Boris Petuhov” in Bălți.[1][8]
Political activity
[edit]A member of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova, Amaev was a local councillor in Bălți from 2013 to 2015.[9]
He has been a member of the Parliament of Moldova since 5 March 2024, replacing Adrian Lebedinschi.[10]
