Spermatogenesis and oogenesis specific basic helix-loop-helix 2 is a protein which in humans is encoded by the gene SOHLH2.^[3] Like its homolog, SOHLH1, this protein is a transcription factor which is involved in the regulation of spermatogenesis and oogenesis.^[3]
