Patrick William Devens (born April 5, 1984) is an American reality television personality and former TV news anchor,[1] best known for competing on multiple seasons of Survivor and one season of Big Brother.
Education and career
[edit]Devens graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in broadcast journalism in 2006. He worked at WGXA morning news in Macon, Georgia since 2009.[2][3] As of 2026, he was working as Director of Communications at Middle Georgia State University.[4][5]
Reality television
[edit]Survivor
[edit]In 2019, Devens appeared for the first time on Survivor: Edge of Extinction, finishing in 4th place.[6] In 2026, he returned and placed 7th on Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.[7]
Big Brother
[edit]Following his appearance on Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans, Devens competed on season 28 of Big Brother.[8] He competed alongside his fellow Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans castaway and Survivor winner Dee Valladares.[9] On Day 87, Devens was crowned the winner of Big Brother 28 along with America's Favorite HouseGuest. Along with earning $10,000 during the final week of the game, he is the HouseGuest who won the most money from Big Brother with earning $810,000 total.[10]
Outside of reality television
[edit]Devens was set to make a brief appearance in James Gunn's Man of Tomorrow film, but dropped out due to competing on Big Brother.[11]
Personal life
[edit]In 2010, Devens met his wife, Becca. The two married in 2012. The couple has two children, Jackson, born in 2014 and Juliet, born in 2017.[12]
