Partulina variabilis, also called the lanai tree snail, is a species of tropical air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Achatinellidae. This species is endemic to Hawaii.
Distribution and habitat
[edit]Partulina variabilis is found on the island of Lanai at Lanaihale. They can be found in wet montane forests at elevations from 3,300 feet to 3,600 feet on Mount Lanaihale.[citation needed]
Description
[edit]Partulina variabilis has an ovate shell with 5 to 7 whorls. They reach maturity at 4 to 7 years.[citation needed]
