PaperDoll was an American indie rock band from New York City, consisting of Teresa Lee (vocals), Patrick Moloney (guitar), Jack Koch (bass guitar), and Will Haywood Smith (drums).[1] The band toured China several times and performed at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.[1][2]
History
[edit]PaperDoll first toured China in 2010 and performed at the Shanghai World Expo. The band returned later that year for a second tour, which included additional performances at the Expo.[1] In 2011, PaperDoll returned to China for a third tour and performed at the World Leisure Expo in Hangzhou.[3][4]
The band's songs were also used in advertising and film. "If Nothing Happened" appeared in commercials for Nike and Vicks DayQuil[5] and was featured on Today.[1] PaperDoll songs "Beautiful Face" and "How Perfect" appeared in the film The People I've Slept With, while "Silence" was included on the soundtrack to White Frog.[6][7] The band also performed the theme song for the television series Comedy Zen.[8][9]
