Reception
[edit]Reviews of Operation Black Ops were mixed. Jim Morazzini of Nerdly gave the film 1.5 out of 5, criticizing its plot, effects, action sequences and ending. He ponders if the film's producers ran out of financing to make a point, and was an insult to viewers.[2] Bulletproof Action was also critical of the film, particularly its effects, sound and action scenes, writing its review was "painful and mind numbing work and watching is not something I would recommend anyone else to do."[3] Lee B. Golden III of Film Combat Syndicate similarly criticized the film's story, action and visual effects, critiquing it as a " bland, embarrassing slog of an action film".[4] In contrast, Loron Hays of ReelReviews gave the film 3 out of 5 stars, writing "Is it the best action thriller out there? No," but finding it entertaining while noting shortcomings in its character development.[5]
