Odette Bayona Khanaan known professionally as "Odette Khan" (born May 9, 1946) is a Filipino actress, she has worked in film and television since the early 1970's and is known for her supporting roles.[1] She received major recognition for her performance as Justice Hernandez in the 2017 film Bar Boys and its 2025 sequel Bar Boys: After School.[2]
Early life
[edit]Khan is from Bacolod, Negros Occidental, as a child she took part in school plays and oratorical contests.[3] She later moved to Manila and enrolled in a Theater Arts course at Far Eastern University, while studying she worked as a production assistant and as a promo girl at ABS-CBN.[4]
Career
[edit]Khan started appearing in movies in the early 1970s, Over the next several decades, she appeared in supporting roles in both mainstream and independent movies, as well as in series on television.[5]
Her portrayal of the stern law professor and role justice, in Bar Boys (2017) gained her recognition.[6] For her role, she was awarded Best Supporting Actress at the 2018 PMPC Star Awards for Movies, FAMAS Awards, and the Gawad Urian Awards, she reprised her role in the follow-up Bar Boys: After School (2025), for which she received Best Supporting Actress at the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival.[7]
She has also appeared in numerous television series, including Ika-6 na Utos, Dragon Lady, and FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.[8]

Personal life
[edit]Khan has one daughter, Claudette Khan-Tandoc, and grandchildren, she suffered a stroke around 2013 that limited her work for a period.[12] In early 2026 she was hospitalized with pneumonia and related conditions reports later indicated improvement.[13]
