Nostrada AI is a British artificial intelligence company based in London, United Kingdom. It provides software and consultancy intended to aid diplomatic and commercial negotiations.[1]
The business creates digital twins of individual and institutional counterparties, including politicians, governments and corporations.[2] As well as simulating negotiations, the company's services are used for market research and forecasting macro market conditions, including those related to policy.[3]
Overview
[edit]The company was founded by Leon Emirali, a former chief of staff to Steve Barclay, a British cabinet minister under the May, Johnson and Sunak administrations.[1]
The business initially created digital twins of British MPs,[4] using data harvested from the politicians' speeches, media interviews, social media posts and public appearances.[5] The company's founder acknowledged the digital twins of MPs carried risk, suggesting they could be a "hindrance" if used by individuals to decide how to vote.[1]
Usage
[edit]The company's AI simulations of British MPs have been used by civil servants from the Department for Education, the Home Office and the Cabinet Office in the British government.[3]
The Slovenian and Spanish governments used a digital clone of then British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer to simulate post-Brexit trade negotiations.[5]
Leader of the Opposition, Kemi Badenoch, and other shadow ministers used Nostrada AI's tools to rehearse Parliamentary engagement with UK Government ministers.[6][7]
Mykhailo Fedorov, the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister at the time, used Nostrada AI's clone of Keir Starmer to predict how Britain would react to peace talks between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin that took place in August 2025.[7]
The company planned to create models of foreign governments, including Russia, China and Iran to forecast future diplomatic action.[2]
At Conservative Party Conference in 2025, Nostrada AI launched an AI replica of former British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher.[8] The chatbot was created to teach schoolchildren about Thatcher's politics and legacy.[9]
Three Premier League football clubs were reportedly interested in using the company's software to model rival clubs and agents during transfer negotiations.[10]
