Nikolai Nikitich Nikonov (1849–1918) was a Russian architect in Saint Petersburg in the Late 19th and Early 20th Century.
Biography
[edit]Nikonov was born into a serf family in Anufrievo, Poshekhonsky Uyezd, Yaroslavl Governorate.
Nikonov was admitted into the Imperial Academy of Arts in 1872, but was expelled in 1881 due to poor attendance. He became a Collegiate Registrar on March 10, 1890, by Alexander III of Russia.
Nikonov was requested to inspect the St. Sampson's Church in Poltava on September 11, 1890, along with the Swedish Monument.
He lived at 11 Kolokolnaya Street in Saint Petersburg between 1900 and 1905.[1][2]
Nikonov died in Samara in 1918.
