Monoon is a genus of about 80 species of lowland tropical trees in the family Annonaceae, within the tribe Miliuseae.[1][2] Species have been recorded from the Indian subcontinent, Indochina, Malesia through New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and northern Australia. The genus was resurrected out from Polyalthia following a molecular study showing the two genera as not immediately related.[3]
