Module talk:Pcall

Help

The intended syntax is supposed to be {{#invoke:pcall|modname|function|args}} but for some reason the numbered frame arguments are not getting left shifted before being passed into the module, and I cannot figure out why. Perhaps there is something that I am missing or some other logic error. The reason for this is to avoid stuff like #iferror which while it technically works also some modules use the error class to indicate an error with input rather than with the module itself. @Awesome Aasim: It might be worth asking this somewhere like WP:VPT where it's more likely to be seen, as individual module pages might not have lots of watchers. FYI, I've removed the {{Help me}} template because adding it to a question will list this page in places like the Teahouse and repeatedly pings the Wikipedia helpers WP:IRC channel, so it's more useful for simple questions that can be answered relatively quickly. —In solidarity with Wiki Workers United · ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email) 05:30, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
