Mesosphaerocera is a genus of flies belonging to the family Sphaeroceridae.^[3] Along with Parasphaerocera and Neosphaerocera, Mesosphaerocera is closely related to Afromyia and Sphaerocera and forms a distinct supergeneric group.^[4]
