Malek-e Ashtar (Persian: مالك اشتر)[a] is a village in Salehabad Rural District[2] of Salehabad District in Bahar County, Hamadan province, Iran.

Malek-e Ashtar is an Azeri Turkic-speaking village.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 2,918 in 673 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,089 people in 899 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 2,672 people in 841 households, the most populous in its rural district.[1]
