Later, Shonali finds them in bed together in the process of undressing each other. Hemant injures himself while dancing and has to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance. [edit]Lisa is a nail artist from Kerala who trains at a nail salon in Mumbai. She sees a pizza delivery guy named Karan, who works for the pizza shop across the street. They immediately hit it off and soon begin a casual relationship, hooking up a few nights of the week at Lisa’s apartment. Karan has an identical twin brother, Arjun, with whom he sells drugs to clients in the city. Arjun receives consignments from their ringleader, while Karan sells them using his pizza delivery gig as a front. Their next consignment is a rather large one, forcing Karan to hide it inside Lisa’s apartment so that it is undiscovered by their mother, who is now living with them. One day, Arjun goes to Lisa’s house to retrieve the drug money, but enters just as she arrives. He pretends to be Karan, and Lisa plays along with it, despite having figured out the truth. Arjun does not tell Karan that he has started an affair with Lisa as well. Meanwhile, Lisa discovers the drug stash and money hidden inside the apartment (she is living there temporarily to care for the owner’s cat) and absconds with it. She quits her job and presumably lies low in a foreign country for a while. Her plan is to eventually start a nail salon of her own with the stolen money. Karan and Arjun flee the city to escape the wrath of the ringleader. En route to their village, Karan learns about Arjun’s simultaneous affair from their mother and the two start fighting.

[edit]A young couple, Varun and Sailee, marry after just three months of dating. Their marriage lasts five years, after which they start living separately. At a sessions court hearing, the judge rules a six-month waiting period before their divorce is finalised. Varun and Sailee’s lawyers warn them against breaking the status quo if they want a straightforward resolution. Sailee visits Varun’s house to take her belongings. They fight over a wall painting and end up having hate sex before Sailee leaves in a rush, believing Varun’s mother from the apartment downstairs intruded briefly while they were in bed. The couple again meet their lawyers, but this leads to more fights and angry sex. They visit their therapist to understand why they keep having intimate encounters while fighting a divorce. On the way back, they are seen making out in Varun’s car by his lawyer, who informs Varun’s parents. They ask Varun to work things out since the couple still have sexual relations, whereas Sailee’s mother wants her to move on. Varun and Sailee meet at a bar one night, and Varun ignores work calls to focus on their conversation. Three weeks later, he packs his stuff into boxes for moving out of the apartment. Sailee gifts him the wall painting she took earlier, and they speak openly about their respective faults. Finally, they are ready to amicably dissolve their marriage and arrive holding hands at their final court hearing.

[edit]In 1987, Saira is completing her thesis on Urdu literature while also teaching at the conservative all-girls college. Her students prefer the direct erotic writings of Macy & Ben novels over the ornate writings of famous Urdu authors. To prove to them that Urdu is just as effective at conveying sex, Saira starts writing her own erotic stories in Urdu. Her students take turns borrowing her handwritten book, and despite her warnings, the book goes missing from Rajjo’s bag. Unknown to the students and Saira, Rajjo’s parents found the book and have decided to publish it to save their business from going under. Fearful she will be outed as the book’s author, Saira stops leaving the house for a month, and also stops being intimate at home with her doctor-husband, Badru. When she returns to college, the book has been published under the pen-name of Raseeli Jaan. Titled Chulbuli Begum, it has become a nationwide bestseller. Rajjo’s parents implore Saira to keep writing, as the books teach men in their repressed society about their wives’ desires. That evening, Saira nervously tells Badru that she authored Chulbuli Begum, but to her surprise, Badru finds the book ‘educational’ not vulgar. In fact, he had prepared pouches of ‘medicine’ to improve her mood, which were actually folded exciting excerpts from her own book. Overjoyed, Saira and Badru start having sex again, and Badru shows he has learnt some new tricks about pleasing women from her book.
