World War II

[edit]

During World War II, it was under German military occupation from early July 1941 until June 1944.[3] About 200 Jews remained there at the start of the occupation.[3]

In August 1941, all Jews were placed in a ghetto consisting of several houses.[3] The ghetto was liquidated in October and the Germans shot more than 200 Jews near the Svislach River.[3]
