Kirill (Russian: Кирилл) a Russian male given name, an equivalent of Cyril, deriving from the Greek name Κύριλλος (Kyrillos),[1] which in turn derives from Greek κύριος (kyrios) "lord".

Given names of the same origin include Cyrille, Cirillo, Cyrillus, Kiril, Kyril, Kyryl. Diminutives include Kiryukha, Kiryusha, etc.[2] There are about 60 patronymic surnames derived from the name and its variants, including Kirillov Kirilov, Kirilenko, Kirilyuk, Kiryukhin.[3]
