Joslyn Rose Lyons is an American director, filmmaker, producer, and writer. Her film "Stand" was nominated for a Sports Emmy Award in 2024.

Joslyn Rose is an American film director, producer, and writer. She directed the documentary film Stand (2023), about former NBA player and activist Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf.[1] Released by Showtime and Paramount+, the film features interviews with Steph Curry, Mahershala Ali, Ice Cube, Shaquille O'Neal, Steve Kerr, and Jalen Rose, and received a Sports Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Long Documentary.[2]

Rose wrote and directed the narrative short film The Listeners, starring Blair Underwood and Vernon Davis, with original music by No I.D. and Jon Batiste.[3]

Lyons has directed and produced several music videos,[1] such as the videos for Too $hort's 2012 album No Trespassing.[2] She has worked with other hip-hop artists such as Ice Cube and E-40.[1]

Her short film Looking Glass was the winner of Best Short at the American Film Awards. At the 7th LA Independent Women Film Awards, she received the Best Director Award for her short film Butterfly Boxing.[1]

In 2024, her feature-length studio directorial debut "Stand" was nominated for a Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Long Documentary.[3]
