Rai Bahadur Jamuna Das Choudhury was an industrialist from Sahebganj (now Sahibganj, Jharkhand) during the British era. He was first awarded the title Rai Sahib and later promoted to Rai Bahadur by the British Government in recognition of his contributions to commerce and public service. Historical records also mention that his official Rai Sahib and Rai Bahadur title badges have been preserved.
However, detailed biographies about him are scarce in publicly available records. What is known is that he was a prominent businessman/industrialist associated with Sahebganj; he was influential enough to receive two prestigious British civilian honours; and his name appears in historical lists of notable Indian industrialists who held the title "Rai Bahadur."
