Pre

[edit]

Per Special:Version#sv-parser-tags, <pre> is a parser extension tag.

It breaks formatnum: as does all other extension tags, but not HTML tags:

It can be used with #tag:, :

where HTML tags cannot. I don't know what extension it is from, but <pre> is a parser extension tag. And it surprised me as well. --- Gadget850 (Ed) talk 00:30, 20 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

It is core, like <nowiki>. See Special:Version#sv-parser-tags. --Splarka (rant) 08:15, 20 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. Should have thought of that. --- Gadget850 (Ed) talk 11:03, 20 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

The lead of this help page is confusing and difficult to follow. How is the UNIQ? or whatever it is related to new HTML tags? Plus, why do I care if they are broken? Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs) 20:16, 19 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

I agree, I have no idea what the first paragraph is communicating. It's mystifying in multiple respects. It doesn't even say what "?UNIQ...QINU?" means. Largoplazo (talk) 15:04, 8 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
