The Ford FR9 engine is a 5.87-liter, naturally aspirated, V8 racing engine, developed and produced by Ford Motor Company alongside Roush-Yates Engines for competition in NASCAR; starting in 2009. It was Ford's first purpose-built motor produced for oval track racing. The motor is still used today across NASCAR's top 2 divisions by a variety of teams including Penske Racing, Wood Brothers Racing, RFK Racing, Front Row Motorsports, and Hettinger Racing.
