Hello. I'm resubmitting the Violet Welles article after making improvements to it. Violet was best known as a staff writer on the classic TV series Dark Shadows. She was also a playwright and Broadway press agent. Everything that's in this article is literally all there is on her. I've been researching her for about three years. I'm sorry there aren't better or more reliable sources of information. However, I also feel the article was unreasonably declined. The Family Search, Ancestry, and Newspapers citations are legitimate records of her life and work. The only truly questionable source is the interview. I'm sorry it's not with a more reputable publication, but hey it's there, it has information about her, and it would be a shame if that's your sole reason for the rejection. Dark Shadows is in the middle of a months-long 60th Anniversary Celebration. On June 27th of this year, the iconic TV series turned 60, and at the end of July there will be a celebration event in Los Angeles with cast, crew, and others who are still alive. Violet Welles was the only woman writer on Dark Shadows, and the other writers, like Ron Sproat, Sam Hall, and Gordon Russell, all have Wikipedia articles. Violet deserves to have a Wikipedia page, as well. And if it's going to happen, now is the perfect time, as it fits right into the 60th Anniversary of the one and only TV series she wrote for.
