"accepted species"

[edit]

The slaty-masked tinamou / Tinamus resonans is listed as "accepted species" at https://www.catalogueoflife.org/data/taxon/VB3FF. I was therefore planning to accept the draft under WP:NSPECIES. I briefly requested speedy deletion of Slaty-masked tinamou but then noticed that there was a relevant discussion at Talk:Slaty-masked tinamou and a version of this article already exists in the redirect's history. I still think this meets WP:NSPECIES but I also think this draft should be merged with https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Slaty-masked_tinamou&oldid=1329074886. I'm also interested if anything has changed since the decision in December that it was too soon for this article. Mgp28 (talk) 17:46, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I have declined this draft. The previous draft is more complete and should be restored when the time is right. - UtherSRG (talk) 22:55, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Should the version currently in redirect's history be moved to draft space (and the redirect recreated), so that that can be developed without reverting the redirect? nil nz 01:03, 7 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hrm. Maybe? - UtherSRG (talk) 03:17, 7 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
