Wendy Roberts (born Wendeline Joan Doell, March 19, 1963) is a Canadian novelist of mystery and supernatural fiction.[1][2][3]
Career
[edit]Wendy began publishing fiction in the mid-2000s under the pen name Wendy Roberts. Her earliest novel, Dating Can Be Deadly, was released in 2005 and marked her entry into the mystery genre with a contemporary suspense narrative.[1][3]
In 2007 Wendy launched the Ghost Dusters series with The Remains of the Dead, introducing a professional crime scene cleaner who communicates with the dead while solving mysteries. The series expanded with multiple sequels over the following years, including Devil May Ride, Dead and Kicking, Dead Suite, and Drop Dead Beauty, illustrating her sustained engagement with paranormal mystery fiction. This series is catalogued in independent bibliographic listings that document her published titles.[1][4]
Wendy continued her genre work in 2017 with A Grave Calling, the first book in her Bodies of Evidence series. This cycle follows a character with a unique ability to locate dead bodies, further blending speculative elements with mystery plotting. The series continued with additional entries published through 2019.[2][5][6][
Her standalone titles include Grounds to Kill, published in 2013, which further diversified her fiction output outside of her series work.[1][7][8]
