Vladimir ("Vlad") Kliatchko (born 1969) is a Russian-American software engineer and financial technology executive who has served as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Bloomberg L.P. since 2023.[1][2] He previously served as the company's chief product officer and head of engineering, overseeing the development of Bloomberg's financial data and analytics platforms.
Education
[edit]Kliatchko graduated from Saint Petersburg State University with a degree in mathematics and computer science.[3][4]
Career
[edit]He joined Bloomberg L.P. in 2003 as a software engineer in the research and development division.[3]
In 2012 he became head of research and development, overseeing around 4,000 software engineers.[5]
He was promoted to chief product officer in 2022, leading the product, data, and engineering functions.[4]
In August 2023, founder Michael Bloomberg appointed Kliatchko chief executive officer as part of a broader leadership restructuring.[6][7]
Recognition
[edit]Kliatchko was included in Institutional Investor's Tech 50 rankings from 2015 to 2017[5][8][9] for his influence in the financial technology industry.
