  • Comment: Submission seems like it was created by an LLM, leading to unsourced statements, unencyclopedic tone and WP:NPOV issues. For example, see the paragraph beginning with With an expertise in the niche, but still competitive, genre of football manager games, Trophy Games started diversifying its portfolio. Note that LLMs cannot be used to create articles. JuniperChill (talk) JuniperChill (talk) 18:41, 2 May 2026 (UTC)

Trophy Games Development A/S (trade name: TGAMES.) is a Danish video game developer based in Copenhagen along with their publishing subsidiary Trophy Games Publishing ApS. The company was founded in 2006 and went public on Nasdaq First North in 2021[1]. Its focus is mainly manager games including Pro 11, Airline Manager, Truck Manager and Farm Manager.

History

[edit]

Trophy Games was founded by, Søren Gleie and Niklas Iversen, who released the first version of Trophy Manager[2] (released for browsers) that is the foundational game for Trophy Games.

The first investment came in 2006 from prolific Danish investors Karsten Ree and Johnny Laursen and Jan Lehrmann joined as Chairman of the Board in September 2007 and later as an investor[3].

By 2020, the company had grown revenue by 54.6% year-on-year, from DKK 19.9 million in 2019 to DKK 30.8 million. In March 2021, Trophy Games completed an initial public offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market Denmark[4] with an oversubscription of 197%[5]. The capital raised was earmarked for an acquisition-driven growth strategy, investment in existing titles, data science and AI capabilities, and increased user acquisition marketing[6].

The IPO allowed the studio to scale its headcount, growing from approximately 15 to 40 employees during 2021. Søren Gleie, CEO, described 2021 as a transformative year: the company expanded its management team, went public, and laid the groundwork for a multi-year acquisition pipeline[7].

Among the acquisitions were Tiny Titan Studio and Xombat, which had developed Tiny Rails and Airline Manager respectively[8].

Airline Manager is the foundation for Shipping Manager, Train Manager, Energy Manager, Truck Manager, and Farm Manager, together forming the Manager Games Series, and were both developed and published across mobile and PC.

The games have collectively accumulated millions of installs across platforms, Truck Manager accounting for over 10 million on Android alone[9]. Truck Manager and Farm Manager each attracted more than 3 million[10] and 5 million pre-registrations[11], respectively, through the Google Play pre-registration program.

Noteworthy Roles

[edit]

Games Denmark, the Danish games industry association, launched in 2024 with the goal of creating better conditions for the industry. Søren Gleie joined the Board of Directors alongside other profiles from Danish game studios, including Søren Lundgaard, CEO of Ghost Ship Games (Deep Rock Galactic); Asbjørn Søndergaard, CEO of Tactile Games (Lily’s Garden); Klaus Pedersen, CEO of Bedtime Digital Games (Figment); and Michael Flarup, founder of Northplay (Dino Lords)[12].
