Controversy
[edit]Tequila 512 sued the makers of Kendall Jenner's 818 Tequila brand for trademark infringement in February 2022, alleging that 818 copied Tequila 512's name, area-code theme, and vertical yellow rectangle label design.[3] The case was settled out of court, with Tequila 512 CEO, Nick Matzorkis remarking, "Tequila 512’s lawsuit against 818 Tequila has been resolved."[4]
