Stun Siva is an Indian stunt coordinator and actor who has worked primarily in Tamil cinema and in films in other Indian languages.
Career
[edit]Siva began his career in the Tamil film industry as a stunt performer and assistant. The India Today feature "Daredevils", published in 2008, included him among Chennai's stunt directors and discussed the work and career progression of stunt professionals in the film industry.[1]
In 2016, The Times of India published an article about stunt choreography and action professionals that discussed Siva's work and experience in the film industry.[2]
Siva has worked as a stunt director on films including Sethu, Nandha, Pithamagan and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu.[3]
In an interview with The Times of India in August 2018, Siva discussed his career in stunt choreography and his entry into the film industry. He said that he became a stunt master with the 1997 film Love Today.[4]
Acting
[edit]Siva has also appeared as an actor. His acting credits include Album, Pithamagan, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, Theri and Goli Soda 2.[5]
In an August 2019 interview with The Times of India, Siva discussed his performance in Goli Soda 2 and his subsequent casting as a lead actor in Vettaiyan.[6]
Directing
[edit]Siva has also worked as a film director. In 2018, The Times of India reported on his work on Karatekaaran, a karate-based film involving his sons Kevin Kumar and Steven Kumar.[7]

Awards
[edit]Siva is credited with receiving the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Stunt Coordinator for Kannukkul Nilavu.[9]
For Ghajini, Siva and Peter Hein received the IIFA Technical Award for Best Action in 2009.[10]
