Soumonil Sen – A Dedicated Student, NCC Cadet, and Aspiring Finance Professional

Soumonil Sen is a fourth-year Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) student at St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata. With a strong interest in finance, leadership, discipline, and personal development, he has consistently worked towards building a well-rounded personality through academics, professional training, and extracurricular activities.

One of his most notable achievements is earning both the NCC 'B' Certificate and NCC 'C' Certificate, demonstrating his commitment to discipline, leadership, and national service. During his NCC journey, he successfully completed an Army Attachment Camp at Barrackpore and attended the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) at Diamond Harbour F.C. College. He also proudly represented his institution in the Inter College State and Games Championship Parade (2024–25) organized under the Government of West Bengal, showcasing his dedication and teamwork.

Apart from NCC, Soumonil actively participates in various co-curricular and cultural activities. He was a participant in the Youth Parliament Competition, where he enhanced his public speaking, leadership, and communication skills. He also took part in a Musical Competition organized by the Calcutta and Suburban Baptist Union, reflecting his passion for music and cultural engagement.

His commitment to service is evident through his role as a Sports Volunteer during the Annual Sports Meet of St. Xavier's College, where he contributed to the successful organization and management of the event.

In the field of music, Soumonil successfully completed Prarambhik-I and Prarambhik-II examinations from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, strengthening his foundation in drawing and demonstrating his dedication to artistic development.

To enhance his professional skills, he completed a six-month Certificate Course in Financial Accounting System at the Youth Computer Training Centre, conducted under the initiative of the Department of Youth Services, Government of West Bengal. This training equipped him with practical accounting knowledge and technical proficiency.

Further expanding his industry exposure, Soumonil successfully completed training along with an internship as a Finance Intern at Triple One Solution from 5 June 2025 to 5 August 2025. During this internship, he gained valuable hands-on experience in finance, accounting processes, and workplace professionalism, bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application.

Currently, alongside pursuing his B.Com (Honours) degree, Soumonil is also learning SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) to strengthen his analytical and research skills. His eagerness to learn modern analytical tools reflects his commitment to continuous improvement and career readiness.

With a combination of academic excellence, leadership through NCC, cultural involvement, professional training, and practical work experience, Soumonil Sen continues to develop himself into a disciplined, skilled, and responsible individual. His dedication, perseverance, and passion for learning position him well for a successful career in finance, management, and leadership.
