Sinn6r (stylized in uppercase) is an English rapper and record producer from South East London, England.[1][2] A prominent figure leading the UK Underground Rap scene, he has collaborated with artists such as Lancey Foux, EsDeeKid and Rico Ace.[3][4] His sound is characterised by a collection of "trap-inspired hellscapes" reminiscent of US Drill cadences pioneered by Chief Keef before 808Melo brought along sliding 808s, as popularised by his studio album #FEDERAL..[1][2] He is currently signed to Lizzy Records.[1]
Artistry
[edit]British magazine Dazed noted Sinn6r as drawing from "a broad church of references", including the likes of David Bowie, Skrillex and $uicide Boy$.[3]
Lyrically, Sinn6r often delivers narratives that juxtapose street crime and vulnerability with themes of substance abuse and personal hardships,[2] which he delivers over deadpan but dextrous flows while matching the abrasive, bass-heavy distortion of the beats.[1][5]
