Shefeen Ahamed K (13 August 1976 – 31 August 2026) was an Indian civil servant and 2003 batch officer (Odisha cadre) of Indian Police Service who served as the Inspector General of Police, CID Crime Branch and Cyber Crime, Odisha.[1]
Career
[edit]Shefeen Ahamed belongs to 2003 batch of Indian Police Service (56RR) who underwent training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad and was allocated to the Odisha Cadre. He started his career as Assistant Superintendent of Police (U/T) in Sundargarh. Shefeen established himself as an anti-Naxal expert early in his career while serving as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer in Gunupur. In 2006 he got promoted as Superintendent of Police and served the districts of Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Gajapati, Berhampur and Kalahandi. He made significant contribution to anti-Naxal operations in Odisha during his stint as SP in the five Maoist affected districts without a single causality to Police force. [2]
