Rodolphe Khalil is a Lebanese extreme cold-water athlete and ice swimming champion.[1] He is the founder of the "Icemen in Action" athletic team, which promotes extreme winter sports, high-altitude ice lake expeditions, and cold-water immersion challenges.[2] Khalil is widely recognized within the region as a prominent pioneer and champion in ice swimming.[3]

Khalil's athletic expeditions and extreme swimming achievements have been heavily featured across Lebanese national television networks and prime-time broadcast programs. His prominent media appearances include feature segments on MTV Lebanon's Bi Raghm Min Koul Chi ("Despite Everything")[4] and the talk show Talk of the Town.[5]

His cold-water challenges have also been documented via dedicated news reports on MTV Lebanon's main web portal.[6] Additionally, his sporting work has been covered by regional morning programs and digital networks, including Al Jadeed TV's morning show,[7] OTV,[8] RED TV,[9] Mariam TV,[10] and the Beirut 24 media podcast.[11]

Educational Initiatives

In February 2026, Khalil co-organized and spoke at an international scientific conference held at the Lebanese Canadian University (LCU) in Aintoura focused on the physiological impacts and safety protocols of cold-water swimming.[12] The academic event included presentations alongside visiting international champions to promote the sport safely within Lebanon.[13]
