Rappit, formerly Vanenburg Software, is a Dutch software company focused on enterprise application development, data and AI solutions, and cloud technology. It is headquartered in Putten.
History
[edit]Rappit was founded in 2009 as Vanenburg Software by Jan Baan, who previously founded Baan Company in 1978 and Cordys in 2001.[1] Established as part of the Baan family's Vanenburg Group, the company focused on enterprise software modernisation using open Java technologies and Google Cloud.[2]
In November 2022, Vanenburg launched Rappit, an application development accelerator built on Google Cloud, at its FutureVibe event in Putten and Google Cloud's Benelux Next event in Antwerp.[3]
In June 2024, Vanenburg Software was renamed as Rappit.[4][5][6]
In 2026, Rappit introduced a platform based on agentic artificial intelligence, combining AI agents with human oversight for enterprise application development.[7][2]
Platform
[edit]Rappit develops the Rappit Platform, an agentic development platform to build agentic enterprise applications and custom core systems like enterprise resource planning, transportation management system, and warehouse management system. Users retain ownership of generated source code.[3]
Rappit also provides software development, data and generative AI, and cloud operations services.[7]
